Rising star Baek Sun Ho is set to take on a lead role in the upcoming drama Suryungin, part of CJ ENM’s O'PENing 2024 project. Baek Sun Ho will play Sung Seo Joon, a character with two very different sides to him, in this much-anticipated drama.
Suryungin tells the story of a high school girl who wins a 5 billion won lottery, but because she's a minor, she can’t claim the money. The drama follows her journey as she tries to find a way to claim the prize and gain independence.
Baek Sun Ho will portray her half-brother, Sung Seo Joon, a character who appears to have everything—good looks, top grades, and a great reputation—but shows a cold side only towards his sister, Sung Seo Yeon.

Reflecting on his role, Baek Sun Ho shared his excitement. “This character is really interesting because he’s not as perfect as he seems. I’m looking forward to showing both the kind, model-student side and the darker, more distant side of Sung Seo Joon.”
He also mentioned how much he enjoys diving into complex roles that challenge him as an actor.
Since his debut in 2023, Baek Sun Ho has been making waves in the industry with his acting skills and visuals. His role in Suryungin is expected to show a new side of him as he portrays a character with hidden emotions. “I think this role will be different from what people have seen from me so far,” he added. “I hope viewers can feel the tension and depth in Seo Joon’s character.”
The first episode of Suryungin will air on October 13, followed by the second on October 20 at 10:40 PM on OCN. Fans are already excited to see Baek Sun Ho’s performance in what promises to be an engaging and emotional story.
