BTS's Jimin Makes History with 'Who' on Spotify Charts

BTS’s Jimin has set new records on Spotify with his solo track 'Who,' making a big impact on the music platform.

Jimin’s song 'Who' from his second mini album topped Spotify’s Global Daily Top Songs chart for three days straight, from July 23 to 25.

On July 25, 'Who' reached 10,674,703 streams, breaking the record for the highest daily streaming count for a K-pop solo artist.

On the same day, 'Who' also hit 2,122,930 streams on Spotify’s U.S. chart, ranking #2 on the U.S. Daily Top Songs chart and making up nearly 20% of the total streams. This solidifies Jimin’s influence in the U.S. music scene.

Jimin’s second mini album, 'MUSE,' released on July 19, debuted at #1 on the Spotify Global Top Album Debut chart and #4 on the U.S. Top Album Debut chart. 'MUSE' is the highest-charting K-pop album in the U.S.

The title track 'Who' also topped the Global Top Song Debut chart, and other tracks from the album, like 'Be Mine,' 'Slow Dance' (featuring Sofia Carson), 'Rebirth,' and 'Interlude: Showtime,' also made it to the top spots on various charts. 'Who' and 'Be Mine' led the U.S. Top Song Debut chart.

From July 19 to 25, 'Who' earned 56,838,165 streams on the Global Weekly Top Songs chart, surpassing stars like Billie Eilish and Sabrina Carpenter to claim the #1 spot. This achievement marks a new record for a K-pop solo artist, hitting over 50 million streams without any Western collaborations.

Jimin’s other tracks from 'MUSE' also performed well. The pre-released track 'Smeraldo Garden Marching Band' (featuring Loco) reached #44, 'Be Mine' hit #107, 'Closer Than This' was #120, 'Slow Dance' came in at #133, and 'Rebirth' was #171. 'Who' also ranked #9 on the U.S. Weekly Top Songs chart with 9,872,809 streams, setting a new record for a K-pop solo artist.

In Korea, 'Who' led the Korean Weekly Top Songs chart with over 1.41 million streams, the highest ever on Spotify Korea. The song also set a new record in Brazil with over 4.19 million streams and debuted strongly in the UK and Japan.

Jimin’s album 'MUSE' debuted at #3 on the Spotify Global Weekly Top Albums chart, with 113,891,826 streams in its first week, breaking the record for the highest album debut of the year. Even while on hiatus, Jimin continues to shine on both album and song charts on Spotify.
