BTS's V has hit a major milestone with his song "Slow Dancing," now surpassing 390 million streams on Spotify.
Released in September last year, "Slow Dancing" is the title track from V's debut solo album, Layover. As of July 16 (Korean time), the song had reached 390 million streams, and by July 20, it had climbed to 391.81 million streams.
"Slow Dancing" has stayed on the global Spotify chart for 84 days, making it the 11th K-pop solo song to maintain such a long chart run.

The song debuted at number 51 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 2 on the Digital Song Sales chart, number 3 on the Global (excluding the US) chart, and number 4 on the Global 200 chart.
In the UK, "Slow Dancing" debuted at number 1 on both the Official Singles Download and Singles Sales charts, staying on the charts for 11 weeks—a new K-pop solo record. The album Layover, which features "Slow Dancing," also topped the UK Official Album Download chart. V is the first K-pop solo artist to reach number 1 on both the UK Official Singles and Album Download charts at the same time.
"Slow Dancing" is a pop R&B track with a 1970s soul vibe, known for its unique style in K-pop. Billboard ranked Layover as the second-best K-pop album of 2023, highlighting the song's bold yet lovely flute solo as a key feature of V's musical vision.
UK magazine TimeOut included Layover in its "2023 The 30 Best Albums," ranking it 19th and calling "Slow Dancing" a "soulful track that beautifully flows with the song's choreography," highly recommending it.
