Former miss A member Jia faced an unexpected disruption to her studies in the United States after the English-language school she was attending suddenly announced that it was closing.
According to Taiwanese media reports on October 15, Jia shared the situation through a video diary while studying English in the U.S.
Jia said she was preparing to attend class when she received an email from the school announcing that its English-language schools worldwide would stop operating because of business difficulties.
The notice reportedly stated that transactions and educational services would end immediately, resulting in the cancellation of Jia’s remaining classes for the month.
Jia had temporarily stepped back from entertainment activities in China to focus on improving her English, making the sudden closure an unexpected change to her plans.
According to the report, Jia had already paid her tuition in full and had not yet received a refund at the time the story was published.
Despite the disruption, Jia said she did not plan to give up on studying English.
Reflecting calmly on the situation, she expressed the view that unexpected changes are part of life, saying in part, *“Plans can’t always keep up with change.”*
Instead of focusing only on the school’s closure, Jia reportedly began practicing conversational English by going outside and speaking directly with local residents.
Her experience highlights an unexpected setback during her overseas studies, but Jia appears determined to continue learning despite the sudden cancellation of her classes.
