Singer Kim Jaejoong shared that he considers negative feedback a valuable opportunity for personal growth, highlighting his resilient mindset.
To celebrate the launch of his fourth studio album "FLOWER GARDEN" and his 20th anniversary in the industry, Kim Jaejoong spoke with TenAsia at iNKODE headquarters in Yonggang-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, discussing his latest release.
Kim Jaejoong began by acknowledging, "In today's competitive market, many talented artists are emerging, and I often wonder where I fit in." He continued, "Some people view me negatively, questioning why I'm still active alongside younger artists. They may think, 'Does he expect his music to be widely received?' The more I encounter such perspectives, the more determined I become to continue."

He revealed with a smile, "I actually enjoy reading negative comments," adding, "They provide me with a chance for self-reflection and improvement."
Expanding on this, Kim Jaejoong said, "While some comments may seem harsh, others make me think, 'I can understand why they feel that way.' I value these diverse viewpoints."
Considering his age and public image, he reflected, "I appreciate the criticism that asks, 'Why does he act like that at his age?' In my 20s, I used to question why I had to prove myself. Now, approaching forty, I feel the need to live authentically. Even beyond forty, I intend to maintain the youthful spirit of pursuing my passions."
Kim Jaejoong's album "FLOWER GARDEN" was released at 6 p.m. on the 26th.
