• THE BOYZ's Sunwoo Selected as Global Brand Ambassador for AMIRI

Sunwoo of the group THE BOYZ has been chosen as the global brand ambassador for the fashion brand AMIRI, establishing himself as a global fashion icon.

On the 11th, the fashion specialized media WWD stated, "Sunwoo, a musician from Korea, has been selected as the new ambassador for the global fashion brand AMIRI."

This selection appears to be aligned with AMIRI's brand direction, which combines music and fashion, and Sunwoo's identity.

Sunwoo and designer Mike Amiri first met and conversed at the AMIRI 2024 Fall/Winter Runway Show held in Paris in January 2024.

Since then, they have formed a deep relationship, sharing a love for music, style, and artistic freedom.

AMIRI expressed special affection towards Sunwoo, stating, "The appointment of the emerging icon Sunwoo as an ambassador clearly reflects the evolution of AMIRI's spirit." They further added, "He embodies AMIRI's musical and cultural roots and global vision. We are delighted to welcome Sunwoo as part of our family."

Sunwoo also expressed his thoughts, saying, "The AMIRI 2024 Fall/Winter Show was the first runway show I attended. I felt a sense of intimacy between my identity and the brand that combines music and fashion. As a performer, clothes are a way for me to express myself and convey messages that fit my music. AMIRI and I share the same language."

THE BOYZ, to which Sunwoo belongs, has proven their remarkable success with the release of their second full-length album 'PHANTASY' Pt.3 'Love Letter' in March, dominating music charts, album sales, and global charts, demonstrating a dazzling upward trend in their successful group activities.

Additionally, from July 12th to 14th, they will hold 'THE BOYZ WORLD TOUR: ZENERATION II' for three days at 'KSPO DOME' (Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium), meeting fans.

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
