• Song Kang pens a heartfelt letter to his fans ahead of military enlistment

    Actor Song Kang is all set to swap his acting hat for a military helmet. He recently took to his fan cafe to share a heartfelt letter, expressing his mixed feelings about his upcoming enlistment.

    Kicking off with a candid confession, "I'm not sure where to start," Song Kang didn't hold back. He acknowledged the news of his enlistment, which fans would have caught wind of, and expressed his deep gratitude to his fan club, Songpyeon.

    He reminisced about his journey since his debut in 2017, saying, "I feel like I exist because you all are always there. So many memories, time is passing by like a film strip."

    He also shared a sweet ritual he's been following lately - writing a gratitude diary before bed. He's been counting his blessings, especially the love and support from Songpyeon. From birthdays and anniversaries to fan meetings, he feels his 20s have been filled with meaningful moments, thanks to his fans.

    Song Kang reassured his fans, saying, "I won't be by your side for a while now, but time will come back quickly, so I hope to see you again with a grateful and healthy heart. I hope to see a happier me than now when that time comes."

    He also revealed his plans for his time in the military, one of which is learning a new language. He's determined not to let the year and a half go to waste and hopes that his fans will also spend this time doing what they love and finding themselves. He promised to return healthily, carefully, and happily.

    In the meantime, Song Kang is scheduled to enlist as an active duty soldier in the army on April 2nd. His agency, Namoo Actors, announced that there will be no official event on the day of his enlistment due to safety concerns.

    They urged fans to continue showing their warm love and support as Song Kang fulfills his national defense duty and promised that he will return more mature and healthy.

    Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

    On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

    During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

    He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

    The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

    “I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

    He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

    “In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

    Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
