Girls’ Generation’s YoonA reunited with veteran actress Kim Young Ok three years after the two played granddaughter and grandmother in the hit drama King the Land.

On August 19, YoonA shared a photo with Kim Young Ok on social media and wrote, “It’s been a while since ‘King the Land’s’ Cheon Sa Rang and grandmother met. I visited ‘Monthly Grandma’s House.’”

The reunion was also featured on Kim Young Ok’s YouTube channel in an episode titled “A real grandchild appears: Sa Rang and grandmother meet again.”

Kim Young Ok warmly welcomed YoonA and said she was especially grateful that the younger actress made time to visit her.

She told YoonA, “Out of all the many grandchildren I’ve played with, you’re probably the hardest one to get here, so it’s an honor that you came.”

Kim Young Ok then reflected on their bond from King the Land, explaining that actors do not automatically become close just because they work on the same project.

She said, “You don’t become close with everyone just because you work together. I liked you so much that I treated you more like my real granddaughter. I wasn’t only talking about how pretty your face is.”

During their meeting, Kim Young Ok also gave YoonA clothes as a gift. YoonA responded by praising the veteran actress’s sense of style.

YoonA said, “You’re such a stylish person. Even when we were filming ‘King the Land,’ I always thought you looked so fashionable when you came to and left the set.”

She added that she often talked about Kim Young Ok’s style with co-star Lee Junho, saying, “Whenever I met him, I kept saying, ‘Did you see her? Isn’t she so stylish?’”

Their warm reunion showed that the close relationship they formed while filming King the Land has continued even three years after the drama ended.
