• Han So Hee Hits Back at Japanese Critics of 'Gyeongseong Creature' with a Bold 'Sad But True'

With Han So Hee, Netflix's original show "Gyeongseong Creature" has a launch on December 22nd.

This drama takes place in the darkest time period, in the spring of 1945, and is about two young people who have to face a monster that was born out of greed to stay alive.

Based on Unit 731 of the Japanese Army's biological experiment, the material is getting a lot of attention.

Japanese users have been very mean to Han So Hee ever since the drama came out because of this.

Even though the crimes of the Japanese Army at that time caused a lot of harm and death to innocent people in Korea and many other countries, Japanese netizens are criticizing the drama based on the true story and the actors instead of feeling ashamed of the horrible things their ancestors did.

Many people who don't like the lead actress Han So-hee have been making mean notes on her SNS account.

Even though some people said mean things about him, Han So Hee released stills from "Gyeongseong Creature" along with a picture of Korean independence activist Ahn Jung-geun and said, "It's a story about the people of the glorious yet dark time when they were fighting against the monster born in the experiment on humans. It's not about romance in Gyeongseong or the creature in the Japanese colonial era."

In the spring of that year, people had to love each other deep.

Some people who don't like Japan said things like, "She's against Japan," "She didn't care about how Japanese people feel," "I'm disappointed," and so on.

Someone said, "I want to watch the drama, but as a Japanese person, I need to be brave." Han So-hee answered, "Sad but true."

Still, thank you for being brave.

Japan is one of the most important markets for a global star like Han So Hee, and it could have a big effect on her future.

But she spoke with confidence because she was a Korean citizen, not a famous person.

People on Korean social networks praised the actress, writing things like "You're so cool" and "I fell in love with you again."
