PLAVE has achieved an unusual chart sweep immediately after making its latest comeback.
The virtual idol group released its fifth mini album HYPERDRIVE on October 12. By midnight on October 13, all five tracks from the album simultaneously occupied the top five positions on Melon’s Top 100 chart.
Title track *Star Trace* led the ranking, while *Kkun*, *Rain in the Blue Sky*, *The Answer Is Yes*, and *Rewind* filled the remaining spots from No. 2 through No. 5.
The group achieved the same top-five sweep on Genie and Bugs, placing all five new songs inside the top five across three major Korean music platforms.
The result is particularly notable because every song from the new album entered the highest section of the charts at the same time rather than only the title track.
HYPERDRIVE contains five songs covering several genres, including EDM-based dance pop, bossa nova, rock, pop, and R&B pop.
PLAVE is also continuing its first world tour, *KEEP IT MANIC*. Following its Korean dates, the group is scheduled to perform in Singapore on October 17, Taipei on October 23 and 24, Macau on October 31 and November 1, and Los Angeles on November 14.
With all five HYPERDRIVE tracks simultaneously occupying Melon’s Top 5, PLAVE has opened its latest comeback with a strong showing on Korea’s major music charts.
