SHINee’s Minho once again showed just how serious he is about fitness by admitting that winning a triathlon would make him even happier than taking first place on a music show.

Minho appeared as a special MC on the September 13 episode of KBS 2TV’s Boss in the Mirror while promoting his solo comeback.

During the episode, Jun Hyun Moo brought up Minho’s well known passion for exercise and jokingly revealed that the singer had previously struggled to choose between winning first place on Music Bank and winning a triathlon.

He then directly asked Minho whether he would rather see his new song Make It Hot reach No. 1 or take first place in a triathlon.

Minho hesitated for a moment before answering, prompting Jun Hyun Moo to tease him for appearing to consider how his agency, SM Entertainment, might react.

Minho eventually admitted his true preference.

“Of course I would be happy if Make It Hot became No. 1, but deep down, I think I would be happier if I won first place in a triathlon,” he said.

His answer quickly drew laughter from the cast and once again highlighted his reputation as one of the entertainment industry’s most competitive fitness enthusiasts.

Jun Hyun Moo jokingly compared Minho to a younger version of former football player Lee Young Pyo, but Minho immediately pushed back.

“I don’t think I’m quite at that level,” he replied.

Minho has long been known for his strong interest in sports and exercise, and his latest confession showed that his competitive spirit remains just as strong even during his solo music promotions.
