Min Hee Jin, CEO of ooak records, has become the first Korean person to appear on the cover of Japanese lifestyle magazine Casa BRUTUS, while also giving readers a rare look inside her home.

On September 1, ooak records revealed Min Hee Jin’s cover and interview for the October 2026 issue of Casa BRUTUS. According to the company, she is the magazine’s first Korean cover figure since its launch in 1998.

The issue is part of a special feature titled SEOUL LIFESTYLE GUIDE, which focuses on Seoul’s growing influence across design, fashion, art, food, and contemporary culture.

Casa BRUTUS introduced Min Hee Jin as an innovative K-pop creative director and explored her creative world through a 26-page feature covering her home, the ooak records office, her favorite places in Seoul, and her approach to design and creative work.

One of the biggest highlights is the first public look at Min Hee Jin’s home, which she purchased around 15 years ago and later remodeled around her personal lifestyle and taste.

The space includes furniture by Charles and Ray Eames, vintage pieces, works by young Korean designers and artists, records, plants, and personal objects she has kept for years.

Explaining her approach to interior design, Min Hee Jin said, “Like my personality, I like mixing completely different designs. I enjoy seeing them create a mysterious harmony.”

She added, “I have always been interested in spaces. Rather than adjusting myself to a typical interior, I wanted to create a space that fits the way I live.”

The feature also introduces the newly launched ooak records and Min Hee Jin’s plans to expand creative projects beyond music.

She explained, “Rather than limiting ooak records to music alone, I want to show projects where different kinds of creativity can freely connect and expand around artists and music.”

The issue also includes a collaboration called everyone ok with Japanese fashion brand everyone. The project uses the Korean word “오케이” as a design element on items including hats and T-shirts, while a special sticker is included with the magazine.

Min Hee Jin said the Casa BRUTUS project gave her an opportunity to naturally connect Seoul, personal spaces, fashion, and design in one feature.

The October 2026 issue marks a notable milestone for both Min Hee Jin and Casa BRUTUS, with the magazine placing a Korean creative figure at the center of its Seoul-focused edition for the first time.
