Joo Woo Jae tried to clear up a funny misunderstanding about his latest fashion photos, but his explanation only gave fans more reasons to tease him.
On August 26, Joo Woo Jae shared several photos from a brand campaign on social media and jokingly addressed rumors that he had become an underwear model.
He wrote, “Hello. I’ve heard there’s a rumor going around that I became an underwear model, but I’m not an underwear model. In English, ‘no underwear model’ — please pay attention to the spacing.”
The photos showed Joo Woo Jae modeling a range of outfits, including suits, jackets, knitwear, and shirts. The 187 cm-tall model and entertainer highlighted his signature slim proportions while promoting the brand he represents as an ambassador.
However, his wording quickly became the main topic of the comments.
Singer Go Young Bae jokingly replied, “Ah, you should have worn it,” deliberately interpreting Joo Woo Jae’s phrase as meaning he was modeling without underwear.
Joo Woo Jae immediately responded, “I was wearing it. 2XL.”
Fans soon joined the joke with comments suggesting that “no underwear model” had a very different meaning from what Joo Woo Jae intended.
After seeing the growing number of playful responses, Joo Woo Jae clarified again, writing, “This is ridiculous. I mean ‘no’ and then a space before ‘underwear model.’”
