Seoyeon, a member of HYBE’s new girl group TUIDE, has revealed the supportive advice she received from her older sister, TWICE’s Jihyo, ahead of her official debut.

TUIDE held a showcase in Seoul on August 24 to celebrate the release of their first mini album, TUNE & PLAY.

During the event, Seoyeon, born Park Seoyeon in 2008, was asked what she considers one of her biggest strengths as a performer.

She shared, “People around me have told me that I learn choreography quickly and have good adaptability.”

Attention also turned to her relationship with Jihyo, who debuted with TWICE in 2015 and has since built a successful career as a K-pop singer.

When asked what advice Jihyo gave her before debuting, Seoyeon said her sister encouraged her to trust the people she will spend the most time with during promotions.

Seoyeon explained, “My sister, TWICE’s Jihyo, told me that I will probably see my members even more than my family, so she hopes I can trust them, rely on one another, and have a beautiful time promoting together.”

Her comments drew attention for showing the personal support Jihyo offered as Seoyeon begins her own career in the music industry.

TUIDE consists of Seohui, Seoyeon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Sea, and Lee Hani. The group is under ABD, a new HYBE-affiliated label.

Their debut mini album, TUNE & PLAY, is set for release on August 24 at 6 p.m. KST.
