ALD1’s Sangwon showed his fanboy side toward Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon with a playful date request during the latest episode of Amazing Saturday.
On the August 22 broadcast of the tvN variety show, ALD1 members Leo, Sangwon, and Xinlong appeared as guests.
Host Boom brought up Sangwon’s previous appearance, when he had only been five days into his debut and was so nervous around Taeyeon that he struggled to make eye contact with her.
Boom asked whether Sangwon was now more comfortable looking at Taeyeon after eight months since debut.
Sangwon replied, “Yes, a little,” before telling her, “You look even more beautiful today.”
The cast quickly teased him over his obvious excitement, creating a lighthearted atmosphere.
Sangwon then prepared an acrostic poem for Taeyeon. His first attempt was playful, but after receiving a quieter reaction than expected, he asked, “Can I try again?”
Using Taeyeon’s nickname “Taengoo,” Sangwon delivered a much more direct line: “Taengoo noona, let’s meet at Guro Digital Complex Station.”
The unexpected date request immediately drew reactions from the cast.
P.O encouraged the idea by saying, “There are a lot of great restaurants there. Seriously, so many.”
Taeyeon then played along and joked, “This homebody is going out.”
Nucksal added to the fun by saying, “Taengoo is really going to show up at Gudi?”
The playful exchange became one of the standout moments of the episode, showing Sangwon’s longtime admiration for Taeyeon and his growing confidence compared to his earlier appearance on the show.
