Park Hyung Sik is returning to theaters for the first time in about seven years with the upcoming action comedy "Family Force".

The film follows three generations of a Marine family who become caught up in a terrorist incident and rely on their family bond to face the situation.

Park Hyung Sik will play Chul Hoon, a Marine special reconnaissance sergeant who becomes involved in the unexpected crisis while on his final leave from the military.

His character is also the son of Chul Doo, played by Cha Seung Won, and Ye Bun, played by Ra Mi Ran. Their family chemistry is expected to be one of the film’s main highlights.

*Family Force* will mark Park Hyung Sik’s first movie since *Juror 8* in 2019, making it his return to the big screen after approximately seven years.

The actor has since focused largely on television projects across several genres, including romance, action, historical dramas, and thrillers.

Most recently, Park Hyung Sik drew attention for his role in *Buried Hearts*, where he played Seo Dong Joo. He also won the Top Excellence Award in the mini-series genre/action category at the 2025 SBS Drama Awards.

Park Hyung Sik has also confirmed his appearance in Netflix’s upcoming series *Perfectly Synchronized*, while continuing activities outside acting with his 2026 Tokyo fan concert *SIKcret Christmas Village: The Special Invitation* scheduled for December.

*Family Force* began filming in September and is currently in production.
