Actress Moon Chae Won has shared an honest reflection on her career, admitting that acting does not always suit her natural personality.
On August 6, Moon Chae Won uploaded a new video titled Moon Chae Won’s face reading filled with brutally honest comments to her YouTube channel.
In the video, she received a face and fortune reading from expert Park Sung Joon while asking about her career, YouTube activities, and future opportunities.
Moon Chae Won first asked whether continuing YouTube and communicating directly with fans would have a positive effect.
She said, “It has been about three months since I started YouTube. I wonder whether continuing it and communicating with fans will bring many positive things.”
Park Sung Joon responded, “There does not seem to be a major risk, especially because the people around you will manage things well.”
Moon Chae Won then asked whether her future could expand beyond acting into areas such as variety shows or hosting.
Park Sung Joon explained that she may have opportunities to explore other parts of culture and entertainment while continuing to strengthen her career as an actress.
He then asked Moon Chae Won whether she personally believed acting suited her.
Moon Chae Won answered honestly, “To be truthful, there are many parts of acting that do not match my personality.”
She explained that she had previously felt more comfortable doing creative work quietly by herself.
Moon Chae Won said, “When I worked alone and quietly on art, I thought it suited me very well.”
She continued, “However, when it comes to working together with many people or being in a profession that requires a lot of self-expression, I sometimes feel that it is difficult for my personality to keep up.”
Her comments offered a candid look at the difference between her quiet personal nature and the highly collaborative, expressive demands of working as an actress.
