Girls’ Generation member Hyoyeon showed concern for Sooyoung and Yuri as their new unit, HyoRiSoo, prepared for its official debut.
On July 29, the YouTube show Hyo’s Level Up released the fifth episode of the HyoRiSoo Debut Project, featuring Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, and Hearts2Hearts.
During the episode, HyoRiSoo visited the MBC building and met with a producer from Show! Music Core to discuss plans for their debut stage.
The members jokingly requested a 30 minute opening performance, the final stage of the show, and even a skydiving scene. The producer responded by asking them to show the attitude of rookie artists and follow the style of fifth generation idols, creating a playful moment.
Hyoyeon later spoke about the challenges of leading the unit because Yuri and Sooyoung did not always follow her instructions.
As part of a sponsored segment, she gave both members health slippers and explained, “We need to start taking care of our health, so I will give these to you as gifts.”
Hyoyeon then casually shared her concern for them, saying, “Yuri keeps saying she will leave the group, and Sooyoung looks a little low on energy. Wouldn’t receiving a gift make them feel better?”
Her comment appeared to be part of the group’s lighthearted conversation rather than a serious statement about Sooyoung’s condition.
HyoRiSoo, which is being presented as a playful rival to Girls’ Generation’s unit TTS, is scheduled to make its official debut on July 31.
