2PM’s Nichkhun addressed past rumors that he had been excluded by the other members and explained the misunderstanding behind the claims.
All six members of 2PM recently appeared on the YouTube program Channel Fullmoon, where they spoke casually with producer Na Young Suk about their early career and current activities.
Nichkhun recalled that he struggled with Korean when he first began appearing on variety shows.
He said: “I could not speak Korean well at the time. It was difficult, but it was also fun. I learned a lot of Korean because I had to speak during variety shows.”
The members also remembered that Nichkhun rarely spoke, but became firm whenever the group lost focus during a busy schedule.
They explained: “Nichkhun had charisma. When we became distracted, he would say, ‘Let’s be quiet.’ Since he usually did not speak much, everyone listened when he said something.”
When asked which member listened to him the least, Nichkhun jokingly chose Junho, causing the group to laugh.
The conversation then turned to past rumors that the members had ignored or excluded Nichkhun. The group strongly denied the claims, calling them an unreasonable misunderstanding.
They explained that the rumors began after the members planned to meet Nichkhun at an airport lounge but accidentally passed him without noticing.
Nichkhun recalled: “I even called out to them, but everyone just kept walking.”
The members explained: “We were all wearing headphones.”
Junho added with a laugh: “Nichkhun shouted, ‘You all ignored what I said.’ He almost never swears, but that was the first time we heard him use strong language.”
The lighthearted conversation showed that the airport incident was an accidental misunderstanding rather than evidence of conflict among the 2PM members.
