SBS’s new Friday Saturday drama “Agent Kim Reactivated” is off to a strong start.
According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of “Agent Kim Reactivated,” which aired on June 26, recorded 9.5% nationwide ratings and 9.8% in the Seoul metropolitan area. The episode also reached a peak rating of 11.3%, taking No. 1 in its time slot and No. 1 among weekly miniseries.
The drama also recorded an average 2049 rating of 3.9% and a peak of 4.93%, ranking No. 1 among all Friday programs and all programs aired during the week. With these numbers, “Manager Kim” became the highest rated miniseries premiere of 2026 so far.

“Agent Kim Reactivated” follows Kim Boo Jang, played by So Ji Sub, an ordinary father and accounting team manager at Sangsaeng Savings Bank. He is raising his only daughter, Kim Min Ji, alone. However, when a serious incident involving his daughter happens, the quiet father begins to reveal a hidden side of himself.
The first episode showed Kim Boo Jang as a father who endures humiliation and hardship for his daughter. Even after being attacked on his way home, he holds back and says, “I will apologize. I am sorry.” He then returns to his daily routine, preparing breakfast and ironing his daughter’s school uniform as if nothing happened.

The story also touches on school violence, family pain, and social status, giving the drama a realistic emotional base while building toward action. Choi Dae Hoon and Yoon Kyung Ho also appeared as Kim Boo Jang’s longtime friends, adding both loyalty and humor to the story.
So Ji Sub drew attention for showing two very different sides in one episode. He portrayed both a quiet, tired father and a man with a powerful hidden past. His emotional acting and intense presence helped make the premiere feel strong and memorable.
With its high ratings, emotional story, and action driven setup, “Agent Kim Reactivated” is already gaining attention as one of SBS’s biggest drama starts of the year.
