Jo Jung Suk shared a funny and heartwarming story about unexpectedly meeting his first love from middle school.
On June 19, Jo Jung Suk uploaded a video on his YouTube channel where he visited Banghwa dong in Gangseo gu, Seoul, his hometown. While looking around places filled with childhood memories, the actor talked about his school days and old friendships.
During the video, Jo Jung Suk remembered his middle school girlfriend and said, “I had a girlfriend when I was in middle school.” He sweetly recalled how innocent young love felt at the time, saying, “Even when we went to eat tteokbokki, I would feel nervous in case our hands touched.”
He then revealed that he once met her again by chance after many years. Jo Jung Suk said he was talking with friends at a cafe when a family entered, and he realized it was the girl he dated in middle school.
He explained, “She came with her child and husband, and her husband was also someone I knew.” The actor added that he had known the husband from church in the past and that his former girlfriend had once introduced them.
Jo Jung Suk said the reunion felt surprising and memorable because it had been such a long time. He also joked, “I wonder if I might meet her again today,” making viewers laugh.
Meanwhile, Jo Jung Suk married singer Gummy in 2018, and the couple has two daughters.
