BOYNEXTDOOR is showing strong results in both Japan and South Korea with their first full length album “HOME”.
According to the latest chart released by Japan’s Oricon on June 17, BOYNEXTDOOR’s “HOME” ranked No. 1 on the weekly combined album ranking for June 8 to 14.
The album also topped Oricon’s weekly album ranking for the same period, giving the group two No. 1 spots.
The weekly combined album ranking includes physical album sales, digital downloads, and streaming numbers.
With “HOME,” BOYNEXTDOOR has now topped Oricon’s weekly combined album ranking four times in total, following “HOW?,” “19.99,” and “No Genre.”
The group is also doing well in Korea. According to Hanteo Chart, “HOME” sold 1,085,715 copies in its first week, making BOYNEXTDOOR a million seller for four albums in a row.
The album also ranked No. 1 on Hanteo’s weekly album chart and stayed at the top of Apple Music Korea’s “Popular Albums” chart.
Their title track “VIRAL” is also climbing steadily on music charts. The song started at No. 68 on Melon’s daily chart and later rose to No. 39.
It also entered Melon’s weekly chart at No. 50, reached No. 7 on Apple Music’s “Today’s Top 100: South Korea,” and entered Spotify Korea’s “Weekly Top Songs” chart.
“VIRAL” has been receiving positive reactions for its emotional melody, sincere lyrics, and detailed performance. Members Myung Jae Hyun and Woonhak also took part in the song, adding BOYNEXTDOOR’s own style to the track.
Meanwhile, BOYNEXTDOOR will attend the 35th Seoul Music Awards on June 20 at Inspire Arena in Incheon and continue their music show promotions.
