Park Ji Yeon is drawing strong reactions for her role as “Woo Jin’s mom” in Netflix’s “Teach You a Lesson”.

In episode 5 of the series, Park Ji Yeon plays an overprotective mother who repeatedly causes problems for her son’s teacher.

Her character watches the teacher’s private life, spreads false claims in an online mom community, and files a false complaint accusing the homeroom teacher of “emotional child abuse.”

Her intense performance quickly became one of the most talked about parts of the episode. Viewers were especially shocked by the scene where Woo Jin’s mom loses control in front of Na Hwa Jin, played by Kim Mu Yeol, a member of the Teacher Rights Protection Bureau.

Even when pressured by the bureau, the character continues to defend her actions. However, she eventually breaks down after hearing her son’s tearful confession, showing Park Ji Yeon’s strong emotional acting.

After the release of “Teach You a Lesson”, many viewers praised Park Ji Yeon’s realistic performance, saying it made the story feel more intense and helped them understand the victim’s pain more clearly.

Park Ji Yeon later shared her thoughts on social media, writing, “Because this is a project that deals with a meaningful story, I worked on it more carefully”.
