Cha Woo Min reportedly joins Netflix’s “Solo Leveling” and is expected to face Byeon Woo Seok as Baruka

Rising actor Cha Woo Min is reportedly joining the Netflix series “Solo Leveling”.

According to a report on June 8, Cha Woo Min will appear in the live action adaptation of “Solo Leveling”, one of the most popular Korean web novel and webtoon based IPs worldwide.

“Solo Leveling” follows Sung Jin Woo, an E rank hunter known as the weakest hunter, who begins to grow stronger after facing a life threatening crisis. The story is set in a world where hunters protect reality from monsters that come through mysterious gates.

Previously, reports that Byeon Woo Seok would play the main character Sung Jin Woo drew major attention. Cha Woo Min is now expected to take on the role of Baruka and face off against Byeon Woo Seok in the series.

Cha Woo Min has built his name through projects such as “Weak Hero Class 1”, “Study Group”, “Brave Citizen”, and “Buried Hearts”.

He is also set to lead tvN’s upcoming Monday Tuesday drama “My Bias, My Boss”, which is scheduled to air in the second half of the year.

With his rising popularity and strong screen presence, many are looking forward to seeing what kind of new image Cha Woo Min will show in “Solo Leveling.”

“Solo Leveling” has already been adapted into a web novel, webtoon, and animation, and has recorded 14.3 billion total global views.

The Netflix series will be directed by Lee Hae Joon and Kim Byung Seo, with Kakao Entertainment and Sanai Pictures handling production.
