DAY6’s Dowoon has spoken to fans after dating and marriage rumors involving Yoo Ji Yoo began spreading online.
On May 28, Dowoon posted a message on his social media, starting with, “Our team will never disappear, no matter what.”
He continued, “I am not going anywhere. Do not even look at bad posts, and for the time being, even if you see posts related to me, please ignore them. I am sorry for hurting you. Please wait just a little.”
The message came after rumors about Dowoon and Yoo Ji Yoo, the younger sister of influencer Yoo Hye Joo, spread through online communities. Some netizens claimed that items seen in their content, including perfume and keyrings, appeared to be matching couple items.
When asked about the rumors, JYP Entertainment gave a short response, saying, “We have no statement.” Dowoon also did not directly address the dating or marriage rumors and only shared a message asking fans to wait.
Dowoon debuted in 2015 as the drummer of DAY6 and recently gained attention after appearing on MBC’s I Live Alone, where he showed his simple everyday life.
Meanwhile, DAY6 is preparing to hold three concerts for the finale of their 10th anniversary tour, DAY6 10th Anniversary Tour The DECADE FINALE in SEOUL.
The concerts will take place from July 3 to 5 at KSPO DOME in Olympic Park, Seoul.
