TWICE member Jihyo’s younger sister is preparing to make her official debut as a K pop idol.
On May 26, HYBE’s new label ABD opened its official social media accounts and released six short films introducing the label’s direction.
The videos also featured members of ABD’s new girl group, which is scheduled to debut in the second half of this year.
Among the revealed members, Jihyo’s youngest sister quickly became a hot topic. Born in 2008, she has reportedly been training for her debut. In the released video, she caught attention for her clear features and strong resemblance to Jihyo.
With her upcoming debut, all three of Jihyo’s sisters will be active in the entertainment industry. Jihyo is widely loved as TWICE’s leader and main vocalist, while her second sister Lee Ha Eum, also known by her real name Park Ji Young, has been active as an actress through web dramas.
ABD is a new HYBE label focused on producing girl groups. The label is led by CEO Noh Ji Won, who previously worked as head of artist planning at Pledis Entertainment.
Han Sung Soo, who has worked with artists such as SEVENTEEN, After School, IZ ONE, and TWS, will oversee the group’s production.
With HYBE launching a new girl group and Jihyo’s younger sister joining the lineup, attention is expected to grow as ABD prepares for the group’s debut later this year.
