ITZY is building excitement for their upcoming comeback with a more honest and natural image.

The group will release their new mini album “Motto” and its title track of the same name on May 18.

Ahead of the release, ITZY shared individual videos and photos titled “What is your Motto?” through their official social media channels from May 4 to May 8.

In the content, Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna appeared in a softer and more comfortable mood. Instead of showing a flashy concept, the members shared their personal thoughts about growth, confidence, and learning more about themselves.

When asked about their motto, the members gave honest answers such as, “I think I am trying to learn more about myself, both my strengths and weaknesses,” and “Of course, I want to grow rather than go backward.”

They also shared messages of self trust, saying, “Let’s just trust myself and keep going,” “There may be a better and best version of me in the future, but right now is my best version,” and “I am doing well, so let’s keep doing well.”

Since their debut with “DALLA DALLA” in 2019, ITZY has often shared messages about loving and respecting yourself.

With “Motto,” the group is expected to show a deeper version of that same identity through the message of choosing yourself in any situation.

Fans reacted warmly to the content, saying it was refreshing to see the members’ honest side. Others also shared that ITZY’s confidence and energy gave them motivation.

ITZY will release “Motto” on May 18 at 6 PM KST. The group will also hold a countdown live at 5 PM KST on the same day to meet fans before the comeback.
