Red Velvet’s Wendy raised hopes for a possible full group comeback during her appearance on JTBC’s Knowing Bros.
Wendy appeared on the April 25 episode as part of a special featuring singers known for high notes.
During the show, she talked about her vocal image and the story behind her nickname, “the Shine On Me girl,” which came from her high note part in Red Velvet’s debut song “Happiness.”

Wendy also shared the story behind her recent surprise performance at a longtime fan’s wedding.
She explained that the fan had told her about the wedding during a fan signing event, but there was no contact information on the invitation.
Wendy later found the groom’s contact details and secretly prepared the surprise.

She recalled the emotional moment by saying, “The fan was holding back tears,” and added, “I felt like I was going to cry too, but I held it in.”
The biggest moment came when Wendy mentioned Red Velvet’s full group activities. She said, “Maybe there will be good news this year?” and added, “The fans are waiting too.” When Lee Soo Geun asked if she was promising it, Wendy answered, “I promise.”
Wendy also impressed the cast with a performance of HYNN Park Hye Won’s “The Lonely Bloom Stands Alone,” showing her powerful high notes and receiving praise from the Knowing Bros members and guests.
