BIGBANG has officially begun the countdown for their upcoming world tour, raising attention as former member T.O.P is once again being mentioned.

On April 24, YG Entertainment released a teaser poster through official social media, confirming the start of preparations.

While specific details like the tour title and schedule have not yet been revealed, expectations are already growing.

The group recently performed at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, where they showcased a setlist covering their 20 year career, including group hits and solo stages. Their performance received strong reactions from major international media. Billboard stated they “perfectly brought the audience back to the golden era of K pop,” while Forbes described them as the “kings of K pop.” The LA Times also shared that they “drew in the crowd with sensual and exciting party music,” highlighting their continued global presence.

This upcoming tour will be BIGBANG ’s first in about 9 years since “Last Dance” in 2017, making it especially meaningful. YG Entertainment stated, “All YG staff will do their best to create a perfect performance,” showing their focus on delivering a high quality stage.

At the same time, attention has grown after BIGBANG opened new official social media accounts for their 20th anniversary and followed not only G Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung, but also T.O.P. This led to renewed discussion due to his past controversy.

T.O.P was previously charged in 2016 for marijuana use and received a sentence of 10 months in prison with 2 years of probation. He later left the group and announced his retirement, but returned to the industry in December 2024 through the series “Squid Game” Season 2.
