BIGBANG is taking a new step to connect more closely with fans as they prepare for their long-awaited comeback.
According to YG Entertainment, the group officially opened their global fan community and social media channels on April 21 at 8:19 PM, a time symbolizing their debut date of August 19.
The platforms were launched through a global fandom service, marking the beginning of more direct communication with fans worldwide.
YG explained the reason behind this move, stating, “With a world tour planned starting in August, the members had a strong desire to communicate with fans and make their 20th anniversary more meaningful”. They added, “Through these channels, BIGBANG will get closer to fans under the name BIGBANG”.
As their first piece of content, the group released a new logo motion video featuring the phrases “BIGBANG” and “20TH ANNIVERSARY”, building anticipation for their upcoming activities. The video also included a striking scene showing the backs of the three members filmed at Coachella.
BIGBANG recently kicked off their 20th anniversary activities with performances at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 12 and 19.
During their 67-minute set, they performed hit group songs along with solo stages, receiving strong reactions from the audience.
Global media also responded positively, with Billboard saying they “perfectly brought the audience back to the golden era of K-pop,” while Forbes praised them as the “kings of K-pop” and welcomed their return.
At their April 19 performance, BIGBANG officially announced that they will begin a world tour starting this August. This marks their first tour under the group name in about nine years since ‘LAST DANCE’ in 2017.
YG Entertainment previously stated, “We will do our best to create a perfect performance”, raising expectations for their full return.
