G-Dragon is drawing major attention after his agency confirmed that a media outlet was included in the latest legal action tied to past allegations surrounding the artist.
After already taking strong action against malicious commenters, G-Dragon has now reportedly expanded that response by also filing a lawsuit against a media outlet linked to reports that raised suspicions about him. The move is being seen as a more serious step in his effort to fully restore his reputation.
According to reports, G-Dragon’s agency confirmed the legal action during a phone call, stating, “It is true that we filed a lawsuit.”
However, the agency did not reveal further details, adding, “We cannot confirm that” when asked about the exact targets and scope.
The latest update is getting even more attention because G-Dragon had already been cleared by police with no charges in the earlier investigation tied to the allegations.
Despite that, suspicions and related discussions reportedly continued online, leading his side to maintain a strong legal response.
His agency had already filed complaints against around 100 malicious commenters over claims involving false information and defamation.
Now, by reportedly extending that action to include a media outlet operator, the case is being viewed as a much stronger warning against both the spread and publication of unverified claims.
A legal source also commented on the significance of the move, saying, “This lawsuit can be seen as a move to hold not only individuals, but also the producers of the information responsible.”
Because the legal action is now said to go beyond online commenters and directly target a source linked to the reports, many are watching closely to see whether this could become a notable case in how celebrity related allegations and media responsibility are handled going forward.
