
WJSN member Yoo Yeon Jung has successfully wrapped up her run in the musical Sugar, marking another big step in her growing career as a musical actress.
Since December, Yoo Yeon Jung performed in Sugar at the KEPCO Art Center Grand Theater in Seoul. With her final show on the 21st, she officially completed her journey in the production, earning praise for both her strong vocals and improved acting skills.
Through her agency Starship Entertainment, Yoo Yeon Jung opened up about her experience. She shared, “It was so exciting and an honor to take part in bringing a Broadway work to Korea for the first time. Since it was a new genre for me, I had many concerns and studied the character ‘Sugar’ deeply while preparing.”

She continued, “I felt very rewarded seeing the audience stay immersed and enjoy the show until the end. It gave me the courage to confidently challenge myself with more diverse projects.”
Yoo Yeon Jung also expressed deep gratitude to WJSN’s fandom, Ujung. She said the love and support from fans, whether they came in person or cheered from afar, gave her great strength. She promised to show an even better side of herself as a WJSN member in the future.
In the musical, Yoo Yeon Jung played the lead role of “Sugar,” a vocalist who dreams of true love. She impressed audiences by balancing the character’s bright charm with emotional depth, highlighting her growth as a performer.
Many viewers praised her ability to deliver both lively and heartfelt moments on stage.
Yoo Yeon Jung first began her musical career in 2022 and has continued to take on new challenges in different productions.
With Sugar, she once again proved that she is more than just an idol singer, showing her expanding range and confidence as a stage actress.
