Actor Moon Sang Min is drawing attention after reports revealed that he has been offered a role in the Korean remake of The Miracles of the Namiya General Store.

On the 7th, it was confirmed that Moon Sang Min received an offer for a special appearance in the upcoming drama.

This follows recent news that Lee Chae Min is being considered for a leading role in the same project. Moon Sang Min’s agency, Awesome ENT, stated, “It is true that he received an offer,” and added, “He is currently reviewing it.”

While Moon Sang Min is not being considered for a lead role, expectations remain high that his special appearance could leave a strong and memorable impression, adding extra interest to the story if he joins the cast.

Moon Sang Min debuted in 2019 through the web drama Four Reasons Why I Hate Christmas.

He is currently gaining popularity as the male lead in the KBS2 drama To My Beloved Thief, where he stars alongside Nam Ji Hyun.

He has also secured a lead role in the upcoming Netflix series Beauty in the Beast, further proving his rising status.

The potential casting has drawn showing attention because Moon Sang Min and Lee Chae Min share several similarities. Both actors were born in 2000, making them the same age, and both previously served as MCs on KBS2’s Music Bank.

Lee Chae Min hosted the show with Jang Won Young from September 2022 to May 2024, while Moon Sang Min later took over and wrapped up his MC role last month with Minju.

With both actors over 190 cm tall and considered among the fastest rising male actors of their age group, interest is growing over whether they will appear in the same project. Many fans are now waiting to see if this potential “same age chemistry” will become a reality once casting decisions are finalized.
