"No Tail to Tell" struggles with low debut ratings as Kim Hye Yoon and Park Solomon’s reversed roles draw attention

SBS’s new Friday–Saturday drama No Tail to Tell is drawing attention for its story direction, but viewers are closely watching whether its ratings can recover after a modest start.

According to Nielsen Korea, the drama’s first episode recorded 3.7% nationwide ratings, a noticeably low figure for a prime time SBS weekend drama. This is 9.6 percentage points lower than the final episode of its predecessor, Taxi Driver 3 (13.3%), and 5.8 percentage points lower than that series’ premiere rating of 9.5%.

Ahead of episode 2, SBS released new stills showing a changed dynamic between Kim Hye Yoon and Lomon, whose characters reunite after nine years with their situations completely reversed.

While the images have sparked curiosity, the drama now faces pressure to translate interest into stronger viewership.

The production team hinted that the chemistry between the two leads will continue to develop, with additional characters entering the story to add tension and unpredictability.

However, despite growing interest in the plot setup, the key question remains whether No Tail to Tell, but can bounce back in ratings and gain momentum in the competitive weekend drama lineup.

With episode 2 airing soon, attention is firmly on whether the series can turn early buzz into improved numbers.
