DAY6’s youngest member Dowoon recently opened up about his relationship with his older bandmates and how their guidance helped him grow.

On December 1, a video featuring Young K and Dowoon as guests was uploaded to the channel “Jjanhan Hyung Shin Dong Yeop.”

During the show, Young K spoke about the positive environment at their company, saying, “Since our company is JYP, everyone—from fellow trainees to seniors and staff—has a kind heart. You can feel that positive influence everywhere.” Host Shin Dong Yeop agreed, noting, “Watching JYP members in daily life, they generally have respect, consideration, and good manners.”

Young K continued, “Even if you fall short in some areas, you need to adjust and grow. I wanted Young K to be different from Kang Young Hyun, just like Clark and Superman are different, or Peter and Spider-Man are different. I wanted all the good traits to belong to Young K, and any flaws to stay with Kang Young Hyun. I think the company liked that structure.”

Dowoon, the youngest member, shared his experience with the older members’ guidance: “The older members are very understanding. But there were a few times when I got ‘scolded’ by them in a blunt way. After being corrected two or three times, I realized, ‘Ah, this was my mistake.’”

Fans are praising Dowoon’s honesty and humility, showing how close and supportive the members of DAY6 are toward one another.
