Actress Kim Yoo Jung opened up about a moment she will never forget with the late veteran actor Lee Soon Jae, sharing how his dedication left a deep mark on her.
During a recent interview in Seoul for her new TVING series Dear X, Kim Yoo Jung looked back on a past encounter with Lee Soon Jae. She remembered seeing him right after a stage event, when he had to move to another region for his next performance.
Kim Yoo Jung said, “I once went to see a stage performance and greeted him. After the event ended, he had another schedule in a different area.” She then shared the moment that moved her the most, explaining, “I saw him get into the car and immediately start reading his script. Watching that made me feel so much respect.”
The actress spoke with admiration, saying the senior actor was always a strong example for everyone in the industry. “He always showed a very good example to younger actors and taught us a lot,” she said.
Kim Yoo Jung added that simply being able to work during the same era as him was meaningful to her, saying, “Just being able to act in the same era as him is an honor.”
Her heartfelt words show just how much Lee Soon Jae influenced fellow actors with his passion and professionalism, even until the very end of his career.
