Actor Lee Yi Kyung is taking firm legal action after rumors about his private life went viral online.
On October 20, his agency Sangyoung ENT released an official statement saying, “We are preparing legal action regarding false information and malicious rumors that have been spread across online communities and social media.”
The agency added that “all forms of posting or spreading these false claims will be subject to strict legal measures.”
This follows after a post titled “Revealing the real side of Lee Yi Kyung” gained massive attention, claiming to expose private messages allegedly involving the actor.
Though the original post was deleted, screenshots spread quickly, with one related post on X (formerly Twitter) surpassing 8 million views and over 30,000 retweets.
As the rumor spread, Lee Yi Kyung’s social media was flooded with questions like “Is it true?” and “Please tell us it’s not real.”
Sangyoung ENT emphasized that they will continue monitoring and gathering reports from fans to protect their artist from harm.
Lee Yi Kyung, known for his roles in dramas and variety shows such as “Hangout With Yoo” and “I Am SOLO,” has yet to make a personal statement regarding the issue.
