CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa opened up about why he always gave his all when appearing on variety shows, even after becoming a top star.
On October 17, Jung Yong Hwa appeared on Zip Daesung’s YouTube show, where he entertained everyone with his quick wit and humor.
While joking around with Daesung and Jo Kwon, he did a hilarious impression of Kang Ho Dong, saying, “That’s exactly Ho Dong hyung’s breathing style,” which made everyone burst into laughter.
Daesung added, “When Ho Dong has nothing to say, he just uses his intense stare. You can feel his energy even when he’s just looking at you,” to which Jung Yong Hwa joked, “I think idols who debut these days would probably feel the same way when they meet you.”
Later in the episode, the topic turned serious when Daesung mentioned that many guests today don’t prepare personal skills or impressions.
Jung Yong Hwa then shared honestly, “Since my drama did so well from the start, I was afraid that if I didn’t do personal talents when asked, people would say, ‘Ah, he changed after becoming successful.’ I didn’t want them to think I wasn’t trying hard on variety shows, so I worked even harder.”
Fans praised Jung Yong Hwa’s sincerity and professionalism, saying it shows how much he values staying humble and hardworking despite his success.
