Actor Kim Woo Bin has opened up about his emotional return to acting after recovering from nasopharyngeal cancer, sharing how nervous he felt during his first filming day for Alienoid.

In a new video released on the Netflix Korea YouTube channel on October 5, Kim Woo Bin recalled, “On the first day of filming, I was nervous and wondered, ‘Can my body move like it used to?’”

After taking a long break to recover, Kim Woo Bin finally made his big-screen comeback through the sci-fi film Alienoid.

He revealed that it had been around six years since his last project, though he personally rested for about two and a half years.

He shared how the director helped him ease back into work, saying, “The director picked the shortest and most comfortable scene from my part for the first shoot. But it needed a lot of CGI, so I had to wear a full-body tights suit."

He added, " It was my first time meeting the staff, and I had to greet them wearing that suit. It was a bit embarrassing, but oddly enough, it helped me relax.”

Kim Woo Bin also talked about his latest Netflix series Genie, Make a Wish, which includes plenty of CGI effects.

He explained, “In CGI scenes, confidence is very important. You have to fully believe in it so you don’t waver. This time, I had to fly and ride a magic carpet, so I tried even harder to believe in it.”

Fans continue to admire Kim Woo Bin’s courage and professionalism as he continues to shine in new projects after overcoming his health struggles.
