Actor Lee Chae Min opened up about his kiss scene and chemistry with YoonA in tvN’s Bon Appétit, Your Majesty.
In a recent interview following the drama’s finale, Lee Chae Min shared how nervous yet honored he felt working alongside YoonA. He revealed, “When I met YoonA sunbae, I told her, ‘I’m a fan’.”
He added, “It was such an honor to be her partner in the same project. It felt surreal, and I just thought I needed to do my best.”
The actor also addressed the much-talked-about age difference between the two stars, saying, “When acting together, I never once thought about the age gap.”
He added, “We were focused on our characters. Off camera, she was my senior who taught me a lot, so I truly respected her. More than the age gap, I felt she was someone I could really learn from.”
Lee Chae Min even confessed to feeling shy during the broadcast of the kiss scene, which made fans smile.
He said, “It was a scene worth being shy about. I always get shy in those moments. Watching alone is fine, but watching together with others makes me embarrassed.”
Fans praised the natural chemistry between the two, and Lee Chae Min is now being called one of the new rising “Romance Kings” of K-dramas.
