FT Island’s Lee Hong Ki had to cancel his university festival performance at the last minute because of sudden health problems.
On September 25, Lee Hong Gi updated fans through his SNS, saying, “I was supposed to go to Dongguk University’s festival today, but I couldn’t because I had something like a vocal cord rupture.”
He went on to apologize, “I feel so, so sorry because it seems like I hurt the precious memory time of the Dongguk University students.”
The singer promised to return the love he missed giving that day, adding, “I will definitely make up for that lost time. To the Dongguk University staff, students, and the fans who waited, I’m really very sorry.”
Meanwhile, Dongguk University’s student council confirmed the sudden cancellation through an official notice: “We were informed today by the artist’s side that the FT Island performance scheduled for today was canceled.”
They added, “We just received this notice and are immediately letting all students know, so we ask for your understanding.”
