Actor Jung Woo Sung has officially returned to the spotlight, making a confident appearance at the 34th Buil Film Awards in Busan following the controversy over his private life.
On September 18, Jung Woo Sung attended the ceremony at the Signiel Busan Grand Ballroom as a presenter, one year after he won Best Actor for his role in 12.12: The Day.
Appearing with a beard and looking slimmer, the actor greeted the press during the handprinting event before the awards.

He shared, “It’s a joy to be part of both the Busan International Film Festival and the Buil Film Awards. As last year’s winner, I’m honored to be given this chance to present. The only regret is that I don’t have a film to share this time.”

He also gave a short update about his upcoming Disney+ original series Made in Korea, which was filmed amid his personal issues. “It’s a project that will be released in December. It’s hard to briefly explain the work, so I’ll keep it short,” he said.
Later on stage, while presenting the Best Actor and Best Actress awards, Jung Woo Sung added, “It’s been a year since I received the award, and no matter if I’m winning or presenting, standing on this stage always makes me nervous."
He added, "Until the day I quit being an actor, I think this nervousness will remain a pleasant thrill.”
