It’s now time to call her actress Jeon Somi.

On September 4, her agency The Black Label officially announced that Jeon Somi has been cast in the upcoming film Perfect Girl. The movie is a K-pop themed thriller directed by Hong Won Ki of Zanybros and produced by Badlands and Thunder Road Film.

Perfect Girl will explore the intense competition in the K-pop world and the struggles of young trainees. Filming is set to begin in October, with a cast that includes actress and model Adeline Rudolph, as well as Arden Cho, who previously voiced Rumi in the hit animated project K-pop Demon Hunters. Arden Cho is also attached as a co-producer.

This will mark Jeon Somi’s first serious step into acting, and fans are eager to see what kind of role she will take on in Perfect Girl and how she will transform as an actress.

Meanwhile, Jeon Somi recently wrapped up promotions for her second EP Chaotic & Confused, released on August 11 with the title track Closer. The album showcased a more mature musical side of the star, breaking away from her usual bubbly and energetic image.

With her upcoming acting debut and strong music career, Jeon Somi is expected to continue expanding her activities in various fields.
