Jang Wonyoung shared her honest feelings about malicious comments and how she deals with them.
On September 1, Davichi’s Kang Min Kyung uploaded a vlog titled “Not me, Jang Won Young Vlog” on her YouTube channel, where she enjoyed a meal and deep conversation with the IVE member.
During their talk, Jang Wonyoung confessed, “I’ve never thought that I was living my life working really hard. Even if I don’t want to do it or it’s difficult, since it’s work under my name and my choice, I have to do it properly. I didn’t think of it as ‘working hard.’”
When the topic turned to hate comments and the “Lucky Vicky” nickname, she admitted, “I do get angry sometimes. If there’s a situation where I have to give up on myself because of work or circumstances, I also get mad.”
Still, she showed her resilience, adding, “Loving others is something only people who love themselves can do. I don’t let malicious comments get to me. I think I have strong mental strength. If it’s not something I actually did wrong, there’s no reason for me to care. And if it is something wrong, then I’d rather receive feedback. Malicious attacks and rumors can’t scratch my true self.”
