IVE’s Jang Wonyoung opened up about her surprising experience with military training.
On August 29, through a fan communication platform, Wonyoung greeted fans with, “Salute! Did everyone watch ‘Military Experience’?” referring to the Convict content released on August 28 by OOTV Studio, where she trained alongside Kai.
She explained just how difficult the shoot was, saying, “Actually, the day before I filmed a music video. I only slept for 50 minutes before going to the army program. And when I got there, they said it was a heatwave warning that day.”
She added, “The weather was too hot. Honestly, I thought this ‘military experience’ would feel more like KidZania. But as soon as I arrived, I had to run on a mountain path I’d never tried before. It was tough but I was curious, and in the end it became a really fun memory.”
Wonyoung continued, “The military is really amazing. Now I understand a little. Now I can even join in on military talk. And that same night, I flew to Germany. So it was like I went on a proper outing before heading to Lollapalooza.”
She even joked with fans, saying, “The correct response is to answer with ‘Ack!’” showing how immersed she still was in the experience.
On August 28, she also posted photos on her social media — one before training, looking full of energy, and another after training, looking completely drained — making fans laugh as the contrasting images quickly became a hot topic online.
