IVE’s Jang Wonyoung is showing a very different side of herself in the upcoming episode of The Accused: The Man Who Gets Accused Every Day.
The variety show, produced by OOTV, will air its 3rd episode of Season 6’s vacation special on August 28, featuring Wonyoung as a guest. This time, she joins EXO’s Kai for a joint military academy and boot camp training experience.
At first, Wonyoung looked cheerful and confident, keeping her trademark “lucky Vicky mindset.” She told Kai, “Isn’t joint enlistment fine? I think it’ll be fun.” Her positive energy even impressed him, with Kai joking, “Even as a senior, I feel like I should learn from your mindset.”
But her bright attitude quickly disappeared once the tough drills began. Wonyoung joined real cadets in intense PT workouts, mountain runs, and obstacle courses, struggling to keep up. At one point, she even tried to negotiate the number of repetitions, and during a break, she made everyone laugh by asking: “Can I call a taxi here?”
The highlight came during a rope-crossing challenge, where Wonyoung, dangling in the air, nervously admitted to Kai: “I’m sorry for asking you to come with me.” Fans are curious to see how far she’ll push through with her “Won Young-style thinking.”
Kai also shared a funny past story, saying: “When I first entered boot camp, the drill instructor asked me, ‘Are you Jang Wonyoung or Ahn Yujin?’ and I actually answered it.” Wonyoung immediately teased him back, taking on an “instructor mode” and saying: “You better answer properly now.”
The special episode of The Accused with Kai and Jang Wonyoung’s military academy adventure will premiere on August 28 at 5 PM KST on the ootb STUDIO YouTube channel.
