IVE’s Jang Wonyoung is drawing attention for her hilarious “military enlistment” challenge on the variety show Ex-Convict.
On August 27, the YouTube channel ootb STUDIO dropped a teaser video raising excitement for the upcoming episode.
According to the production team, Jang Wonyoung herself showed interest in taking on the challenge, which added to the buzz.
In the teaser, she appeared in a full military uniform alongside Kai, who jokingly asked, “Why did you choose to enlist with me?”
She laughed and replied, “Isn’t it nice to enlist together?”
However, once the harsh training began, Jang Wonyoung looked overwhelmed and even tried to “negotiate” the training, making viewers laugh. She also joked, “I’m sorry I asked us to come (to the army) together”, and “Can I call a taxi here?”
At one point, fans noticed she even wore her gloves backwards, showing how lost she was during the training.
Photos of Jang Wonyoung and Kai resting side by side, both looking exhausted, were also shared online, raising anticipation for the full episode.
The Ex-Convict episode featuring Jang Wonyoung will premiere on August 28 at 5 PM KST.
