Actor Park Hae Joon opened up about an unexpected struggle that came with the huge popularity of Love Take Two.
On the August 9 broadcast of tvN’s Amazing Saturday, Yeom Jung Ah, Park Hae Joon, and Choi Yoon Ji appeared as guests to promote tvN’s new Monday–Tuesday drama Love Take Two.
During the show, MC Boom introduced Park Hae Joon by pointing out how much SHINee’s Key had been waiting for this moment.
Key, a longtime fan of Park Hae Joon since his role in The World of the Married, even reenacted a famous line from the drama and happily confessed, “When I was in the military, I only looked forward to The World of the Married,” showing how excited he was to meet him.
Park Hae Joon earned the nickname “nation’s father” after playing Yang Gwan Shik in Netflix’s When Life Gives You Tangerines. While he said the love from viewers is heartwarming, he admitted that it can also be a little awkward at times.
“Everyone likes me so much. Even older people like me, but whenever I go somewhere, they all say I’m like their dad. But then even people my age tell me I’m like their dad,” he shared, before laughing and adding, “I just think, ‘Well, you must have a really good dad.’”
