Actor Jung Il Woo is showing a whole new side of himself — and fans are loving the surprise!

The Unstoppable High Kick star is set to appear on the upcoming August 7 episode of KBS’s variety show Problem Child in House, alongside actress Lee Tae Ran, his co-star in the upcoming KBS drama Glorious Days.

While Lee Tae Ran shared her adorable love story — including how she fell for her now-husband the moment she saw him sipping coffee with his legs crossed — Jung Il Woo surprised everyone with a totally unexpected confession.

“I’ve always wanted to get close to Jin Kyung noona,” Jung Il Woo told the cast, referring to TV personality Hong Jin Kyung.

When she asked, “Why me?” in shock, he casually dropped a bomb, “I’m running a business now. I personally make around 200 heads of kimchi… and I even developed my own dumplings.”

His unexpected reveal drew laughter and amazement from the cast. Joo Woo Jae joked, “Are you looking for a business partner?” while Hong Jin Kyung playfully scolded him, “What do you even do?” Yang Se Chan chimed in, “Now everything makes sense!” making the set erupt in laughter.

Jung Il Woo also opened up about his past struggles and the ups and downs in his career.
He rose to fame in 2006 with the sitcom Unstoppable High Kick but revealed he went through a difficult time after that.

“In my 20s, I received so much love after High Kick, but it also made me think about quitting,” he admitted.

“I didn’t think I had enough talent. So many people had more charm than me. I just didn’t know how I could keep going.”

Things got even tougher after a serious car accident that forced him into a year and a half of rehab.
“I got over 50 acting offers during that time, but I had to turn them down because the timing didn’t work,” he shared.

Even after returning to acting, things weren’t easy. “I’ve done lead roles, and I’ve taken smaller roles too — the size doesn’t matter. But when people started saying, ‘Jung Il Woo is over,’ it really fired me up,” he said.

“I was already thinking of stepping back, but hearing others say I was done made me want to prove them wrong.”

Jung Il Woo shared that he spent time alone, went on pilgrimages, and reflected deeply on his life.
“I started treating every project like it could be my last, and I gave it everything I had.”

Now, he's gearing up for a strong comeback in Glorious Days, which premieres August 9 on KBS2. And with dumplings, kimchi, and passion fueling his next chapter — fans are excited to see what’s next for Jung Il Woo!
