The cast of Love in the Moonlight is officially reuniting 10 years after the hit drama first aired.

According to KBS on August 13, Park Bo Gum, Kim Yoo Jung, Jinyoung, Chae Soo Bin, and Kwak Dong Yeon will appear together in a special variety program titled Moonlight Drawn Again, which is set to premiere on September 16 on KBS2.

The reunion is drawing strong attention because Love in the Moonlight became one of KBS2’s biggest youth historical dramas during its original run. The series recorded a peak nationwide rating of 23.3 percent and ranked No. 1 in TV buzz for seven consecutive weeks.

For the anniversary special, the five main cast members will take a two-day, one-night trip together.

The reunion reportedly came together after Park Bo Gum suggested celebrating the drama’s 10th anniversary. Kim Yoo Jung, Jinyoung, Chae Soo Bin, and Kwak Dong Yeon agreed, allowing the full group to reunite despite their busy schedules.

The production team shared, “On August 4, Park Bo Gum, Kim Yoo Jung, Jinyoung, Chae Soo Bin, and Kwak Dong Yeon left for a two-day, one-night trip to Hongcheon, Gangwon Province.”

They added that the cast enjoyed the trip in a bright and cheerful atmosphere that reportedly felt similar to returning to the drama set from 10 years ago.

The special will be produced by the company behind Young Actors’ Retreat, another variety program that previously brought together casts from several popular dramas.

With the original drama reaching a peak rating of 23.3 percent and its five lead stars returning together, anticipation is growing for the reunion and the stories they will share about Love in the Moonlight a decade later.
